Jewellery should be more than something you wear. It should hold meaning, memory and a sense of legacy. At Gillian Waters, each piece is designed as a collaboration — a meeting of your story and expert craftsmanship.

The Bespoke Process

Your journey will begin with a personal consultation to capture your unique story and style. This personal experience evolves through bespoke designs, 3D visuals and the careful selection of precious metals and gemstones. Each piece is then expertly crafted in the UK, resulting in a timeless heirloom that is uniquely yours.

Whether you have a clear vision or just an idea, we’ll create something truly personal together.

  • Every bespoke piece begins with your story, ideas and inspiration.

    Based on your brief, I will create two initial concept designs to explore the direction of your piece. These early sketches help us shape the overall aesthetic, proportions and feel before moving into the detailed design stage.

    A thoughtful first step in bringing your vision to life.

  • Once a direction has been chosen, we move into the formal design stage.

    A £250 design fee is required at this stage, which is fully deductible from the final cost of your piece.

    This includes a personal one-to-one design consultation where we refine every detail together — from proportions and stones to settings, finishes, and final touches.

    You will also receive copies of your bespoke designs for your records.

    Please note, the design fee is non-refundable.

  • Once your final design has been approved, a 50% deposit is required to begin production and secure any materials or gemstones selected for your piece.

    Your jewellery will then be expertly handcrafted in the UK using the finest materials, before being professionally hallmarked in accordance with UK standards.

    Each piece is created with precision, care, and the intention to be treasured for years to come.

    Please note, all production deposits are non-refundable.

About

The inspiration behind my work began with my grandmother’s locket, a simple inherited piece that served as a quiet reminder of how jewellery carries a lifetime of memory and emotion. That sentiment remains at the very core of what I do today.

My experience is built on 13 years in the fine jewellery industry, collaborating on and producing bespoke collections for high-end jewellers.

Now specialising strictly in bespoke and semi-bespoke commissions, I work directly with individuals through the design process to bring their ideas to life. Whether I am creating a new heirloom or re-working a passed-down piece for future generations, my goal is to ensure every creation tells a meaningful story.
